Japanese football fans have been praised online after staying behind to clean up Wembley Stadium following their team’s historic 1–0 victory over England.
After the win, Japanese supporters remained in the stands, collecting litter and tidying up the away section with bags before heading off, leaving everything spotless.
In a world that’s lost its manners, the Japanese just showed the rest of us what real respect looks like. 🇯🇵 👏🏻
18 years after she was born in T1 departures (to the surprise of everyone, including her mum, who didn’t know she was pregnant), Carey Ingwell returned to Dublin Airport this weekend.
Carey arrived from Bristol with 18 family members to celebrate her 18th birthday in Ireland.
Happy birthday, Carey! Great to see you again.🎈

What people don't often consider is that mortgage payments are made from after tax income. When the mortgage is gone, you can divert the payments to pension savings 'before tax'.
I've written an article about this & put an online calculator on my LinkedIn

An update from Noel (29th Oct interview on @NewstalkFM interview below)
I care full-time for my 78-year-old father, who has serious health issues and lives with me. I received Carer’s Allowance while also working 18.5 hours a week—the maximum allowed. After a review, however, I was told that because my employer paid me for my break times, I was suddenly no longer eligible. The Department of Social Protection then claimed I owed them €22,000 in “overpayments.”
On the 31st of October, I received another letter from the Appeals Department. They stated that they had reviewed my case again and that their original decision still stands.
I did receive confirmation from the Ombudsman that they have formally taken on my case. I genuinely hope they can highlight how unfit the current DSP policies and procedures are for carers in situations like mine.
As a full-time carer, I continue to feel exhausted, anxious, and worn down. This has been hanging over me for more than three years. I have done everything I can to keep us afloat, especially during a cost-of-living crisis. I know I have done absolutely nothing wrong. The criteria states you can work 18.5 hours a week, I worked 18.5 hours a week, and I am still under earnings limit for carers allowance.
Surely someone in a position of authority can step in—not only to address my case, but to recognise the wider problems affecting carers across Ireland.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. It means more than you know

The best piece of financial advice I ever received was, "Act broke until you're not."
For me these words mean:
1. "Don't live beyond your means", &
2. "Don't automatically increase your cost of living in line with increasing income."
Something so simple confounds so many.
Hi @IrishRail 🚞 For the second time within a week, the lift is out of order at Kishoge. ♿️ last week I was stranded on the platform at night and this week I can’t get on the platform. Can access broken be shown on the app so wheelchair users can make dif plans please

We need to value whistleblowers now more than ever, it isn't easy for people to put their head above the parapet.
Please respect the wishes of Harvey’s parents in calling for a Public Statutory Public Inquiry, Minister @CarrollJennifer.
A whistleblower inside Children's Health Ireland has made a series of allegations about the
treatment of Harvey Morrison, the nine-year-old boy who died in July after he was inexplicably removed from a surgical waiting list by CHI.

Dear fellow carers, don’t spend that extra €10 all in one place.
Side note, anyone know anyone hiring part time work from home job where you can leave at the drop of a hat to care for your disabled child? Can’t be more than 18.5 hours a week.

Family health insurance renewal time

€4000!!!
But when you delve into it a little further, what stands out the most?
€1,500 of it is a government levy!!!
That is simply insane
