You can restrict every app & even stop them downloading them in the first place.
We control my daughter’s phone and it comes out her room at bed time. The amount of calls and messages she gets form friends late at night is horrific.

@Nigel_Farage The real issue is the parenting. Most of these apps you can’t legally use into your 13 because it goes against the terms of service of the apps children in primary School having smartphones with these loaded is the real issue.

@DanNeidle I think the point about benifits is the fact it’s not a for of earnings.

For spending to go abroad directly it would have to be collected outside the country in many cases. Money collected inside the uk for many goods and services would be liable for vat where rates.

@DanNeidle I suspect that most people doing overtime are spending at their limit with low disposable income or paying debt. Some will be savers but it all goes back into the economy at some point.

@DanNeidle We need to move to one form of tax that no one can escape. Road tax cripples vehicle operators but not those that rely on road network aka everyone. Income tax cripples workers. Council tax cripples property owners and renters Vat has to many exceptions and rates. list goes on.
