It's World Suicide Prevention Day, and we're spreading the message that it's ok to talk about suicide.
If someone tells you they are having suicidal thoughts, there are ways we can make them feel safe and supported in that conversation. Read more here: https://t.co/EaAkrFXW4v
Great to hear Andy Burnham advocating for a continuation of funding for Housing First to support people experiencing the most severe disadvantage.
๐Our Head of Policy @SophieBoobis will present findings on the positive long-term holistic outcomes of Housing First later today.
Our recent research shows that #HousingFirst delivers clear long-term improvements for residents across health, mental health, contact with the criminal justice system and beyond.

Of all the mindless acts of thuggery this for me is not just amongst the worst, it's also the most nonsensical. This brilliant organisation who I was proud to work for, will help anyone, regardless of income or background . Including you and your families, you ignorant people
Last night Citizens Advice Sunderland's office was badly damaged following riots in the city.
We're working with the team in Sunderland to provide support to them and help them be there for the people who need advice going forward.
Our services are closed on weekends (1/2)
@OwenJones84 I think you'll find most football fans are often critical of their own side Owen. I think your analysis and language has become too extreme even for people like me who share many of your political views. You are in danger of alienating allies not winning new ones. That's my truth

@OwenJones84 On a national vote level maybe yes. If however you live in a Conservative/Labour marginal seat voting Green or
independent could let a Tory in. Maybe you don't want a Tory MP. Not letting the Conservatives or a Conservative back in has to be the main priority surely?
As a nation we often hope to be top of the leagueโฆ..tragically not this one though ๐ itโs time for a reset of our broken system #EndingHomelessnessTogether@HomelessLink
This. Was speaking to someone recently who was in a band that were invited to play at one of the main stages at a major festival . They declined as they wouldn't get a guaranteed camping space and only their expenses would be covered. No fee . Maybe that was a good deal!
Wanna be broke? Form a band.โArtists are the biggest employers in the industry. They pay for tour manager, session musicians, agent, manager, crew, insurance, travel, hotels, equipment, rehearsals. People donโt know this all comes out of the artists pocketโ https://t.co/rFERVQg4iC
Evidence from โฆ@HomelessLinkโฉ on role that no-fault evictions play in rising homelessness. So will the government use its #RentersReformBill to protect tenants? Or how to pressure from landlords on the backbenches? Join @Shelter to keep pressure on https://t.co/uCf7rCFHuH
Threatening people sleeping rough with fines and prison will stigmatise those of us facing homelessness and make it harder to provide support. Join us and @crisis_uk and contact your MP urging them to stand against these plans. https://t.co/myQuAFV2h5
@Oysterband1 That's a shame but you've earned your retirement from touring. I've followed you throughout and you're always impressive live & on record. My 28 year old son remembers his first gig seeing you in Southampton. He said By Northern Light had a profound impact on a 13 year old!
@LiamONeill_Keir@prodnose A few years too late. Finished at Workington in 1961 . He was at Pompey at the time of the first top flight game played under floodlights although he didn't actually play in the game....against your team Newcastle!
Let's talk about duty.
Disabled people do not have a duty to work unsuitable jobs. Let's get that clear.
The government *does* have a duty to not dehumanise the million disabled people who want to work but are denied the chance.
Itโs a duty the government is failing on ๐งต 1/7
โNo surpriseโ that the Rwanda scheme was found to be unlawful, yet Ms Braverman was happy to spend ยฃ140m of taxpayersโ money on it.
If thereโs a need for an urgent new law, it should be aimed at recouping costs from politicians whose vanity and incompetence squander public funds
