@BeerGuideLondon@MusingAnorak From when I used to live in that neck of the woods, the Belgian Monk, St Andrews Brew House and The Plasterer's Arms were on my list. Haven't been for a good few years though. Enjoy 🍻
@LondonPubMap Oooo I'm at the Arcola next week. Didn't think there were two many decent pubs in the area. I'll try to pop in when I'm done at the theatre 🍻
@LondonPubMap@peggy_stu Train to Welling. The Hangar --> The Door Hinge --> The Kentish Belle --> The Long Haul --> The Bird & Barrel. Train from Barnehurst. Some good caffs in Welling to get prepped.
@LondonPubMap@peggy_stu I have a cracking Bexley micropub crawl that starts and ends close to a station and goes past a spooky abandoned hospital! Happy to share but I'm sure you know it 👍🏻
@LondonPubMap One of my favourites, too. It's almost worth not taking the trip to Lewes as you can drink all the Harveys beers here in tip top condition.
@oneinnthewood I'm going to show people this picture when they moan about London beer prices. A tiny bit of effort and shoe leather (perhaps a short train journey) will get you to a gem of a location like this. Any travel costs are soon recouped.
@LondonPubMap Any chance you could include a photo of the pumps in your visits so we can get an idea of if cask is sold and whether they feature indie or macro ales? That would be grand.
@BeerGuideLondon@beerblefish As a cask drinker, this has bumped @beerblefish to the top of my list of breweries to visit. What would your recommendations be for other "modern" brewers/taprooms with a cask focus?
@Will_Hawkes Cask always seems well kept with a 2/3 interesting handpulls on the go. Beer temps have always been "as expected" as far as I can remember.
@Will_Hawkes Another great newsletter, Will. I always try to pop into The Lemon Tree when I'm out and about in Covent Garden. Small south of England pubco (6 ish, I think). Small but perfectly formed.
