Environmental Health Officers visits to Commercial Banks, Supermarkets in Minna and its environ to sensitize the leadership of the institutions on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures.
A 50 bed capacity Isolation/treatment centre for mild-modetate cases of COVID-19 is being set up in Minna.
The centre can be modified to accommodate even more beds when the need arises.
Niger state has recorded the 2nd confirmed case of COVID-19 on the 15th April, 2020.

A total of 27 persons were discharged from the State Quarantine Facility in Minna today the 14th of April, 2020. Another 21 persons on self- quarantine in Suleja have completed their mandatory 14days without symptoms and have exited.
Niger state MoH in collaboration with NMA, Niger chapter trained COVID-19 zonal RRT and prepositioned commodities at 6 Health Zones across the state for early detection, investigating and notification of COVID-19 cases
The daily Niger state EOC on COVID-19 day 3 was held today 14th of April, 2020. Hon. Commissioner of Health, PSH, WHO, UNICEF, NCDC and other stakeholders were in attendance.
