Temitayo Oyekunle Chess Tournament
4.0 came to a thrilling close. And what a display of brilliance we witnessed!

Chess is more than a game. It is a test of mind, character, and spirit. And our winners showed us exactly what that looks like:

They came with energy. Every move was intentional. Every game was played with fire.

I am so proud of every child who sat at that board. But today, we specially celebrate 3 young champions whose VIGOUR, RESILIENCE, and GREAT MOVES led them to victory:

To Iheanyichukwu, Joel, and Emilola: You didn’t just win medals. You showed every young person watching that when you think ahead, stay disciplined, and believe in yourself, victory follows. This is why I am passionate about our children. When we give them the space to dream and to compete, we are raising better people.
Better people build a better society.
And a better society assures a secured future for our nation, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

To every child who showed up and played today: You are all winners. You are _NIGERIA WORLD BEST 2.0_

COURAGE HAS NO AGE LIMIT* ♟️

Yesterday at the *Temitayo Oyekunle Chess Tournament*, I witnessed something that moved me deeply.

I watched our youngsters sit across the board from older, more experienced players... and they did not flinch. They thought. They planned. They competed.

That is one of the greatest values of chess: *COURAGE*.
Courage to face anyone, regardless of age or experience.
Courage to make your move, own your decision, and learn from the outcome.

A special shoutout to our *BEST YOUNGEST PLAYER - IRETOMIWA ISAAC-YUSUF* 👏👑
Iretomiwa, your focus, your bravery, and your brilliance on that board inspired everyone in the hall today. You proved that greatness is not about age. It’s about heart.
