@fintechjunkie 2. Is the most important one rn, although this may or may not be the case at early stage/seed, we still were able to bootstrap ourselves into profitability. Growth is the most important factor for any startup but it must not come at the cost of the company’s existence.
@HarryStebbings If you are a founder of a startup, that’s your identity, you and the startup are the same in someways and that shows your commitment to it, no using ex-this and ex-that.
I’m around 12-14% too. I’m a pure vegetarian, quit six years of training when I founded my startup right as this market correction started and 4 months ago my cofounders peer pressured me to get back to the gym as those stress bursting sessions help my productivity. It’s definitely tough but not unachievable. I think more clearly and strategize more than before instead of furiously grinding, I’m now grinding smart. All in all a good workout works wonders for any early stage startup founder.
Being profitable at scale is the most important end goal. Problem is people want to keep raising and scaling but not focusing enough on profitability. I’m proud of my team for scrapping ourselves into profitability but we need to do it at scale which is what we are working towards now, and candidly so should everyone else.
@brijbhasin Agreed whole heartedly here. I was able to incorporate a startup in Delaware in 4 days flat with EIN and everything while the same process took 4 months in India.
@NWischoff Weightlifting is definitely one of the best stress bursters. I took a 1.5 year break from it and my cofounders forced me back to it 3 months ago and my productivity rate has actually multiplied.
@samdblond I think this is the right way to do it, of course there are other methods but one must always tread carefully as the appreciation must not come through as favoritism in the eyes of other team members.
@immad When we moved to Mercury this week, we didn’t connect with Plaid for ACH, we wired everything straight away. Had an inkling something like this could happen with ACH.
