Late 2021, high beta ($BTC, $ARKK) peaked weeks before $QQQ and $SPY. Seeing a similar thing play out now.. See below...

@charliebilello Most of the rallies were during recoveries i.e. in periods immediately following bear markets. Of course % gains are going to be impressive as the markets try to get back above previous highs. The current rally is different because it comes on top of an already galloping bull.
@Mr_Derivatives Software is down considerably while semis are not as much. So overall tech might be only down 8% but within tech, there might be generational buying opps in some sectors like saas

It really depends on how you define 'Kolkata' and the other cities. Highly possible that 'Kolkata' GDP in the above list includes the GDP of the neighboring districts too whereas Bangalore GDP might count just Bangalore urban district's contribution while ignoring the Bangalore rural district's contribution. Love Kolkata but we need to look at the numbers in detail.
Today saw a VOLUME ERUPTION in $EWY the South Korea ETF which did $6.2b today (5th among ETFs), double its all time record as a 25yrs old (ancient for an ETF). The price has gone parabolic, up 161% 1yr and 65% YTD. Not totally sure why, pretty sure it involves K-Pop tho
@TheStalwart Me thinks the markets are experiencing a normal multiple compression exercise (given that we are 22.4x forward earnings) that is masquerading as an AI cannibalization play.
Dotcom bubble (first pic) popped after a parabolic move in Nasdaq composite. Would you rather have a parabolic move and a pop or a bear market that looks like the wyckoff distribution pattern (second pic)?

@GreatKerala1 Kolkata the OG rockstar ! Also, I would view the whole of Kerala coastline as one giant city, like Miami metro for instance, with a population of 30 million or 3 crore.
