Our Men’s Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling teams won the Team Titles at the 2026 U23 Asian Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The Men’s Freestyle Wrestling team secured 9 medals, including 4 Golds, thus registering India’s highest-ever overall medal haul at the U23 Asian Championships history. The women wrestling contingent won 10 medals, including 6 Golds. The Greco-Roman team also recorded its highest-ever overall medal count with 8 medals.

Congratulations to our wrestlers. My best wishes for the endeavours ahead.

India made an impressive debut at the Mundial do Queijo do Brasil 2026, which is a vibrant international competition for cheese and dairy products. Four Indian products won medals, including 1 Super Gold, 2 Golds and 1 Silver.

The Super Gold was won by Eleftheria Gulmarg (Brie Style), the Golds were won by Yak Churpi-Soft, Nordic Farm, Leh, Ladakh and Eleftheria Brunost (Whey Cheese) while the Silver was won by Eleftheria Kaali Miri (Belper Knolle Style). Congratulations to Mausam Narang and Thenlay Nurboo.

Such successes strengthen India’s artisanal dairy sector on the world stage.

Threw this into ChatGPT & entered a rabbit hole. Apparently, several Dire Straits are considered ‘dog tranquilizers’ (LOL), and dogs sleep well to calm, steady music, and Dire Straits have exactly that kind of sound.

Also:

Frontman Mark Knopfler has a low, relaxed, almost talking style. Dogs tend to relax more to lower frequencies than to sharp or high-pitched sounds.

Many Dire Straits songs sit around slow to mid tempos, which research on dogs suggests can reduce anxiety and help them settle.

Knopfler’s clean fingerstyle guitar has very little distortion or harshness. Dogs can be sensitive to abrasive sounds, so the smoother tone is easier on their ears.
