@CatieOsaurus In my experience with my many neurodiversities, the use of my name has always felt special. They bothered to learn my name and continue to use it. That said, growing up, my name has always meant a lot to me because I was named after strong women in my family.
How is it that the lovely charming funny guys are also the ones who believe weird shit?? They also happen to work at airports?? First guy I dated who worked at an airport ended up believing the earth it flat. Guy #2 just revealed he believes he becomes a demon sometimes...
@ItsEmilyKaty Thank you! I plan on making a game out of how I can encourage my brain to complete tasks based on the 4 motivators! I look forward to seeing if it works. My adhd has always been a huge struggle and I really appreciate your research!
ADHD-ers usually have an interest-based nervous system. Meaning that a task needs either novelty, urgency, competition or interest for them to be motivated or focused. Learning this and adapting boring, everyday tasks to fit into one of these categories can be life-changing.
What even is my life? I have one 5 hour conversation with someone where we connect on so many levels and talk into the early hours of the morning the next couple of days and then go on a great date and I become infatuated just in time for them to say they need to step away.
A sweet, sweet man in my life is making a big decision and is including me as a major factor. I am blessed to be so loved but I also worry for his happiness. I alone am not enough reason to do anything.
