@3tap3tap3tap @LavenderGhast It was closer to this for sure. The art director in an interview said they swapped away from the more heavier graphics for “graphic simplicity”. But by time marketing started the transition was already underway so it’s a lot of mixed signals in the marketing on look/feel.

Stop comparing Marathon to Arc Raiders what it SHOULD be compared to is Tarkov or Delta Force. These are thriving extractors that are also first person. The audience Marathon wants is in those titles. Not Arc Raiders for the vast majority of its player base.

@RocketeerDriver It’s shit. I’ve said a better use and worthiness of a wipe would be if they expanded the existing skill trees with a few NEW and useful skills to justify the need for more points in things that are relevant to my way of play. Skin is bad, don’t need to hoard more slots…

@SoftServedGummy @JakeSucky The gameplay is literally one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a controller to date. You move like a 70 yr old man with a hip and neck disk replacement. It’s such an unfun experience. And this is coming off the most recent experiences btw.

FOR THE RECORD, THIS was the Marathon we were excited for. THIS was the version of the game that had millions of views and excitement around it. The slop being pandered off now is just a cheap copy. We could’ve had glory. A truly amazing experience…but no…robbed of it all.
