If you’ve missed an entry you wanted to take, don’t rush to make up for it by chasing the price. Yes, the market might continue to rise and that opportunity might slip away. It’s all part of trading.

After a strong rally, however, there may be a downward spike to absorb liquidity and liquidate late-entering long positions. If this happens, watch how the price reacts: a rebound to that level may offer you a new entry point, with a clear breakout signal.

If, on the other hand, the price continues to rise without giving you a setup, let it go. Relax and look for another long position. You don’t have to take every move to make money: you need to enter when the risk makes sense to you.
