Global bitcoin ownership estimates ~365M people, or 4-5% of world population.
Market capitalization relative to gold (~$1.28T vs ~28T) also points to roughly 4-5% bitcoin adoption.
In logistic (S-curve) terms 4-5% BTC adoption is in the region where % growth rates remain high.
Every single day I hear from people who are like, “I have to choose between these two things because that’s what I’m being told in business school. That’s what I’m being told by mentors.”
And I think this is happening at the same time that it’s actually the reverse.
In entrepreneur land, long before there was even internet, many people would tell you to focus. You read every business book: Do not be all over the place. Focus. Don’t be wide and shallow. Go deep. You will maximize your economics. The reality is more than half the people on earth are predisposed, DNA and culturally, to be a little bit more creative than picking one thing. Many people are capable of being a good content creator in skiing and in parenting and in golf, but they have chosen one. I got into this exact idea in my recent Entrepreneur cover story: the “pick one thing” advice is backwards for a huge chunk of the population. Many people like me are weirdly capable of running one of the largest agencies in the world, I’m sitting at the helm of a diverse emerging sports ownership, having a very successful restaurant group, literally building the intellectual property that has a dark-horse chance to be the next Marvel or Pokémon, still quietly running a wine business, co-running a TV production company that’s starting to really cook. You can even look at this through pure ecology, through a concept called the edge effect. An ecotone is the transition zone where two distinct ecosystems meet—like a forest meeting a grassland. That boundary area is often far richer and more diverse than either habitat alone because it combines resources from both environments. I am stunned by how many people should have two balls in the air. I know unlimited people that should have three. The economic impact is enormous, and that is deeply secondary to being able to scratch your creative itch. Literally more than 50% of you that are reading this actually need this for your soul. You’re in the creative class. Doing one thing is wrong.I like juggling. I like the chaos. I’m really involved in a lot of, if not all, of my businesses.
But, not everyone needs to do more than one company. In fact, a lot of people should only do one company because they struggle with the juggling. I don’t know who the fuck the best juggler in the world is right now because I’m not into circus shit, but whoever that person is, I am a business version of that. I’m very good at this.
