We understand that adjusting rates can be a challenge for our customers. As a not-for-profit utility, our goal is to keep your water services safe and clean, and we only charge what is necessary to cover operational costs.

We're proposing a rate change that would increase the quarterly bill (three months) by approximately $37 for 2025/2026 and an additional $46 for 2026/2027.

Despite these adjustments, Halifax Water will still maintain some of the lowest rates in Canada when compared to similar cities.
