You’ve said, movingly, @JDVance, that Usha is your greatest blessing. Why wouldn't you then appreciate the spiritual heritage that helped lead her to be that blessing in your life?
As Hindus, we believe that there are many ways to know the Truth — that One Divine Essence that underlies everything.
As Hindus, we’re not moved to convert you. We’re moved to honor and respect you and all of existence as not different than our own Self.
This is the fundamental tension between exclusivist and pluralistic worldviews. You are our VP, not Pastor-in-Chief, so why stoke division?
This Diwali, may we show the power in the gathering of light.
The light of knowledge, of unity, of truth.
The light for freedom, for democracy, for an America where anything is possible.
Bangladesh media is confirming the authenticity of these horrific events in Faridpur—an 11th grade Hindu boy dragged out of school by the army over allegations of a “blasphemous” @facebook post.
We strongly condemn this inhumane act & demand justice.

The @nytimes racially profiling Hindus again?
So @CopiousNotes27, I have a few questions about your latest in @nytimes:
-if you’re doing a story about allegations of adulterated sacraments at a Hindu temple, why would you quote Shepherd, who literally wrote a book insulting Hindu rituals and beliefs?
-caste is linked to smell? Can you give me a single reference to “Brahmins” linking smell to purity? If Shepherd is your source, say so. Absolutely no multi-traditional ancient Hindu source has any code against “smells”.
-Chandrababu Naidu does not identify as “Brahmin” and nor does Reddy. Then why is your article focused on critiquing so-called “Brahmin” norms?
Pragati, Hindus are not a singular text-based religion. Hindu traditions are multiple indigenous, ancestral traditions with origins in the whole of South Asia. I’d ask you to do better than indulging in Racial/Religious/Tribal profiling of Hindus. We can help.
When @POTUS does this, it’s American interest.
When #IndianAmericans follow the lead of our President and promote the U.S. India partnership, we’re slurred with dual loyalty slurs, called BJP workers, and defamed as “Hindu nationalists.”
First off I want to acknowledge the people who have made small donations to the cause! Here's the deal, I have a competent crew of editors, photographers and production staff waiting for the green light to start taking a closer look at #bayarea shenanigans. I'm not going to lie, personally I find some of the stuff disturbing. We are working on developing a more inclusive and immersive web presence as well. What I have learned is people with agenda don't want some stories told so they target advertisers. I spent the last year building a foundation, I built the non-profit not with a team of attorneys but with sweat and tears. If you can't help financially a simple repost will do. remember November 28th is #GivingTuesday2023 please as @MrBadlyTV to your list.

My daughter and I spoke to the SF Board of Supervisors about why the city should bring back Algebra in middle school.
I let 6yo Lola Partovi decide for herself whether to come and what to say.
What she said blew me away.

@curiouswavefn I’m currently reading Jennifer Doudna’s biography The Code Breaker by Walter Isaacson, and it shows how again and again she took similar risks, working on problems that the mainstream had declined.
