I really love what Whitney did in the extended version of Just The Lonely Talking Again. This part is really mesmerizing and pulls you in with how she was able to convey the talk-singing thing. Her voice was everything here 💜
Be honest, what’s the one Whitney Houston song you don’t like? She had many and plenty of great songs, but there had to be just that one you weren’t feeling like that. What’s yours? 💜
@Wisdom_Stature He ruined his own life & career. He’s a grown ass man, he knew right from wrong. He knew what he was doing when he put his hands on her, when he was cheating on her, raining on her parade cause of his bs. He was doing all ts before her then with her if anything he ruined her life
Starting the bs again? Everyday it’s something new. Whitney Houston’s legacy can never ever be denied or dismissed. She was & still is the standard for a lot. A talent like her will never be seen again, her music will last forever. Her voice can never be forgotten or replaced.
talking down on her discography is such a tired conversation. But one thing i'll say is that, in her own way, Whitney was also the queen of creativity & reinvention - in that she never sang a song the same way twice. 💜
Her delivery in music, her presence when on stage, her voice even when she was sick, she still sounded the best. She had an ear for music & a strong artistry for her craft. Besides the big hits she has songs for days. That’s what a long-lasting legacy is. That’s who Whitney is.
it’s totally okay to not prefer whitney’s music… but to say she’s less of an “artist” because she didn’t write most of her music is so disrespectful, and dismissive of her contribution to her arrangements, performances, even her film work.
@Dinkleburg089 I really feel co-writing still counts as writing. My other fav co-wrote a majority of her albums, what they gone say? It’s not that hard to accept that a person is talented in more than just singing when the proof is right there
I’ve been thinking after all the biopics Whitney got, none of them were really good. The actresses who portrayed her were amazing, even the one that did a cameo on the “Selena” series. The movies just don’t portray the true essence of Whitney.
