Watched this ongoing debate and the contrast was almost comical. The political representatives were given every opportunity to explain, with some intellectual honesty, why reservation should not even be relooked at, yet they struggled to put forward a coherent argument beyond familiar political talking points.
Meanwhile, @ARanganathan72 , @neha_laldas and @talk2anuradha brought exactly what a serious debate needs clarity, facts, composure and the willingness to interrogate uncomfortable questions without hiding behind slogans.
The political panel looked completely outclassed. When three people can calmly dismantle arguments while the elected representatives keep circling back to rhetoric, you know the problem isn't the complexity of the subject it's the poverty of the argument.
Reservation is far too important to be treated as a political sacred cow. It deserves an honest conversation about representation, equity, outcomes and whether the existing framework is achieving its intended purpose.
If the best defence available is outrage instead of reasoning, perhaps the debate has already made its point.

Brilliant arguments by J. Sai Deepak on reservation & caste:

– Caste discrimination is real, don’t pixelate it. But discrimination of every kind has always existed. Fixating the lens only on caste while ignoring others is selective outrage.

– The core problem is the state officially freezing caste categories for life. Once branded, you’re stuck forever.

– You can't demand reservation purely on birth while attacking Varnashrama Dharma for being birth-based. Those two positions cannot coexist.

– Post-Mandal, we got the Mandalization of the Hindu community, not its consolidation. Hindus are now fighting like rats among themselves.

– The same voices never seriously pursue caste annihilation. Their entire electoral arithmetic begins and ends with jati.

– Remedial measures are needed but strike a balance. The current extreme skew is destroying social cohesion among Hindus.

आज भारत को स्वास्थ्य, विज्ञान और अनुसंधान जैसे क्षेत्रों में विश्व के अग्रणी देशों की श्रेणी में लाने के लिए शिक्षा में व्यापक सुधारों की आवश्यकता है। एक मजबूत और समा��ेशी शिक्षा प्रणाली ही देश की वास्तविक शक्ति बन सकती है। हमें इस बात पर गंभीरता से विचार करना होगा कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों को कैसे बेहतर अवसर और उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली शिक्षा प्रदान की जाए।

"जब नीट के असली स्टूडेंट्स प्रोटेस्ट करने गए तब उन्हें 10 दिन तक परमीशन नहीं मिली, फिर 4 बजे डंडे मार कर भगा दिया। और इन आतंकवादियों (जंतर मंतर पर बैठे प्रदर्शनकारी) को रात रात भर बैठने की अनुमति है।
आगे इस युवा स्टूडेंट्स ने जो कुछ कहा है उसे दिन कर अनोदनकारी इस छात्र को भी लोकतंत्र और संविधान का विरोधी बता देंगे।
