A Journey of Innovation
Nishant Kumar founded KF Farms in 2018. With technical guidance from the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Motipur, he transformed his vision into reality. Today, KF Farms is recognised as one of the integrated commercial fish farm, adopting five modern aquaculture systems—RAS, Biofloc, Cage Culture, Pond Culture, and Reservoir Fisheries. Production has grown from just 300 kg in 2018–19 to 200 tonnes annually. Through farmer training and exposure visits, Nishant is inspiring aspiring aquapreneurs while demonstrating how innovation and perseverance can drive sustainable growth in India's fisheries sector.

Spoke about the challenges and scope of rural entrepreneurship and aquaculture.

Today, as King Fisheries Farms completes 7 years, I look back with pride, ripples and fish!
