@thewstarkey Probably acting? Some characters are polite enough to leave when the job’s done, others decide they’re paying rent in your head for a while, but music lets me breathe a little easier, I can switch that part of my brain off much quicker—

@thewstarkey —while as a musician, changing genres isn’t quite changing personas, but it does mean adjusting your voice, your instincts, even the way you carry yourself on stage. Neither lets you rely on autopilot, which is probably why I enjoy both.

Mm, having one foot in both worlds, I’d say they’re exhausting in different ways.. as an actor, you’re constantly shifting your mindset to fit someone else’s life—
