@pradip103 The issue isn't ethanol blending. It's forcing E20 on millions of E10 vehicles by eliminating choice. Lower mileage, compatibility concerns, higher water usage, and no E10 availability are legitimate concerns. Supporting farmers shouldn't come at the expense of consumer choice.
@amitmalviya This isn't about politics. The concerns were documented by ARAI and even SIAM before large-scale E20 rollout.
The debate is about implementation, vehicle compatibility, and preserving E10 fuel choice for millions of E10-compliant vehicles.
Dear @narendramodi and @nitin_gadkari, I urge you to heed science, reason, and the concerns of ordinary Indians.
Here, I explain why India’s E20 policy hurts vehicle owners, water resource, and the environment; and helps the politician-middleman, the sugar, and the liquor lobby:
The roof at Ratnagiri railway station in Maharashtra collapsed amid heavy rain last night. There was no casualty. Visuals showed a 50-foot section of the roof lying on the floor on the outer area of the station.
Due to bad weather, there was minimal movement in the area at the time of collapse.

#WATCH | Bhubaneswar, Odisha | Petroleum Dealers Association President Sasanka Sekhar Sahu says, "We are urging the government to reconsider the introduction of E20 fuel... Dealers are facing significant difficulties with the current E20 rollout. While the blend is capped at 10% in most countries worldwide, India has implemented a 20% blend. Consequently, the vehicles currently available in India are not fully compatible with this fuel. BS6 vehicles in India were not originally designed to handle this specific blend. This leads to issues like clogged carburettors and other mechanical failures. Customers then come to the petrol pumps and create a ruckus, even though the pump owners have no control over the situation. The government introduced the fuel, and we simply sell it. These problems, which were non-existent before, have only surfaced since the introduction of E20..."

JANTAR MANTAR JUST FOUND BJP’S WORST NIGHTMARE 🚨
REPORTER: Rajnath Singh says BJP has no resignation culture.
PROTESTER 🔥: Of course. The loot chain is running. Paper leaks sell for lakhs, money moves up, students lose years, parents break, and government just announces the next exam date.
REPORTER: What about students?
PROTESTER ⚡️: BJP leaders are busy setting their own sons. But whose children are these students? At least give them proper education.
REPORTER: Will this protest force resignation?
PROTESTER 💥: Farmers made Modi apologise after 13 months. Students can sit longer. Either Dharmendra Pradhan resigns, or this anger will sink the government.
Lack of preparation + Extreme ambition + Political arrogance = E20 disaster
> Ethanol attracts water Ethanol in E20 is water-loving, so it easily absorbs moisture from humid air.
> Water can enter storage tanks easily Rainwater, loose caps, damaged seals, dirty tank bottoms, or open vents can let water get into fuel tanks. The first step in pan-India E20 rollout should have been a water-tight "no water in tanks" policy by whatever means!
> Ethanol pulls water into the fuel Once water enters, ethanol bonds with it and starts moving away from petrol.
> E20 can split into layers Too much water causes phase separation: petrol stays on top, while an ethanol-water layer settles at the bottom.
> This bottom layer creates havoc Petrol pumps may suck this ethanol-water mix into vehicles, causing hard starting, misfiring, poor pickup, corrosion, and engine trouble.
So "Act first, Think later, Analyse last" in action again.
(I am not even going into the mileage reduction + cost of petrol concerns here)
Automakers' body urged govt to retain E10 after E20 rollout, shows 2021 NITI report
A 2021 NITI Aayog roadmap on ethanol blending shows that the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) had sought continued availability of E10 petrol alongside E20, warning that withdrawing the lower-ethanol fuel could create compatibility, safety, fuel-efficiency and drivability concerns for vehicles already on Indian roads.

VIDEO | Traffic on Mumbai-Pune route affected following a landslide near the exit of Tunnel 2 of Pune to Mumbai lane amid heavy rains. Visuals from the location.
So missing link is now flooded and apparently closed.
Probably part of the first rain testing plan mentioned by CM Devendra Fadnavis the other day when speaking about 2 potholes.
Literally the first major rain and we are exposed!
You would think they plan for Landslides, heavy rains as the first thing when building a project in Sahyadris but no!
Corruption of the highest order?!?!?!
