“Why do some British people dislike Donald Trump?”
Nate White, an eloquent and witty English writer, gave this magnificent answer:
Trump lacks certain qualities that the British traditionally value.
He has no nobility, no charm, no composure, no gravitas, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour, and no grace — qualities with which, strangely enough, his predecessor, Mr Obama, was abundantly blessed.
Although Trump may be ridiculous, he has never said anything ironic, amusing, or even remotely funny — not once, ever. I do not mean this rhetorically. I mean it literally: never. To the British, a lack of humour is almost inhuman.
But with Trump, it is a fact. He does not even seem to understand what a joke is. To him, a joke is a crude remark, an illiterate insult, an act of casual cruelty.
Trump is like a troll: he never laughs or enjoys himself; he merely squeals with delight or derision.
And the most frightening thing is that he does not merely utter crude and stupid insults: he actually means them. His mind is nothing more than a robotic algorithm of petty prejudices and instinctive malice.
There is no irony in him, no complexity, no subtlety, no depth. Everything is superficial. What we see is a man without an inner world, without a soul.
In Britain, we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are courageous underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist.
Trump is neither courageous nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite.
He is not even merely a spoiled rich boy or a greedy fat cat. He is more like a giant white slug, a privileged Jabba the Hutt.
And, worse still, he is a bully.
When he finds himself among other bullies, he suddenly becomes a whining lackey.
He punches down — something a gentleman should never, could never, and must never do — and every blow he delivers is below the belt. He particularly enjoys attacking the vulnerable or the voiceless, and he kicks them when they are down.
That is why the fact that a substantial minority — perhaps a third — of Americans watch what he does, listen to what he says, and then think, “Yes, he seems like my kind of guy,” is a source of bewilderment and profound distress to the British.
After all, it is impossible to read a single tweet of his or hear him utter a sentence or two without staring into the abyss. He turns shallowness into an art form. He is the Picasso of pettiness, the Shakespeare of shit. His flaws are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on to infinity.
There have always been stupid people in the world, and villains have never been in short supply either. But rarely has stupidity been so evil, or evil so stupid.
He makes Nixon seem trustworthy and George W. Bush seem intelligent.
If Frankenstein had decided to create a monster composed entirely of human flaws, he would have created Trump, and the remorseful Dr Frankenstein would have cried out in despair, “My God, what have I created?”
If an idiot were a television show, Trump would be the entire set.
Epstein Paaji told us he only met Epstein as part of a delegation 3-4 times. Guess the other delegates were hiding under the table in these 2 photos, Paaji.
In 2011, then Gujarat Chief Minister Thiru @narendramodi avl said that if his hands were not tied, he would have gone to Delhi and waged war against the central government. Thiru Narendra Modi avl made this statement in response to the police crackdown on the peaceful anti-corruption campaign led at Ramlila Maidan, Delhi. In my opinion, what the Hon PM said then was absolutely right, and there is nothing wrong about it.
Today, you could be jailed indefinitely; your surety bonds could be rejected; and, surprisingly, a Special Executive Magistrate will play circles around you when he/ she is empowered to deal with preventive bond cases.
If you question the violation of due process of law in a democracy, you would be called names, and a barrage of attacks would follow, including being labelled a Foreign Agent.
Ever since I asked the Central Government to speak with the protestors during the NEET exam protests, I have faced constant attacks, but I let them pass because I felt it was important to focus on the issues on the ground in Tamil Nadu. I also, in a way, enjoyed this as it would quickly remove the tag of me being a BJP B Team and sent to TN as a Dhurandhar 😍
Yesterday during a press meeting, I questioned the Delhi Police’s methods of detaining protestors of CJP.
Since yesterday, the attacks have resumed, as expected. For some in the BJP, let me make this categorically clear, in case you have selective amnesia: I left the BJP on June 5, 2026.
As I mentioned yesterday, I might not agree with the tactics of the CJP, and I think many of theirs are misguided. But if you ask me whether they have a right to oppose/argue/protest on an issue that they think is important?
I would categorically say - YES.
So, I would like people to ask the questions again, even if it makes some of them uncomfortable, and I wish the Central Government would answer them instead of resorting to whataboutism.
https://t.co/U1VOaaWCLM was Jantar Mantar denotified as a protest site as per a standing order of the Ministry of Home Affairs after a letter was handed over by CJP seeking permission to conduct a protest?
https://t.co/Gn79sPgy7b long can we have a system that gives powers to an Asst Commissioner of Police as a Special Executive Magistrate who rules over whether to keep someone in preventive detention? The ACP of Delhi Police stands over the trial where Delhi Police is the complainant against the accused CJP. Now you know which way the wind will blow.
3.On October 19th, why did the Special Executive Magistrate, aka ACP of Delhi Police, deliberately arrive late for the bail hearing of those who were arrested from Jantar Mantar on October 13th and recuse himself, saying there is a threat to his life? Is this some kind of a joke?
4.Why were 8 sureties rejected, and why was the person who came for surety subjected to cross-examination by the Special Executive Magistrate?
5. Any action taken on pellet gun usage by the Delhi police or other actions on Delhi police who have violated the standard operating procedures against the protesters during the NEET fiasco stir?
Has no BJP karyakarta in Delhi violated any bond conditions during the previous Congress and AAP governments. I trust the same Delhi police were then also when barricades were jumped and orders disobeyed? How were they dealt with then? Like this?
Definitely - NO.
Now I hear that the detained functionaries of CJP were released by SEM after the case reached the High Court.
I also recently saw a cockroach effigy burned as part of the Dusshera celebrations. Out of curiosity, I tried to find out who is giving this free publicity at a National level. No surprises here. It was led by a BJP MLA, Ashok Goel.
My question again is: is the BJP opposing the CJP or giving it free publicity? Does it want the opposition votes to split by making CJP a bigger player? At this rate, the CJP couldn’t have asked for a better PR team, even if it had paid for one! (1/2)
This is truly heart breaking to watch, Harish’s final video 💔
It’s unfortunate that Harish took this extreme step.
Financial advisory without SEBI registration is against the rules. That is a fact, and that is what Jason pointed out in his video. But what followed was a wave of hatred on Harish.
Now the internet has split into two groups. One side says Jason did the right thing, he only exposed what was wrong. The other side says Harish was at fault, advisory without a SEBI license is simply not allowed.
Both groups are busy arguing. But, somewhere out there, a father who knows nothing about stock markets is still trying to process the loss of his son. And on top of that grief, the family now has to live with every allegation and every comment thrown at them online. Let’s stop that here.
Everybody makes mistakes. Harish made his. But a mistake does not deserve a mob. Think before you add your voice to the hatred on social media.
Let FinanceWithHarish be the last person we lose to it.
The timing of release of this deadly picture is indicative of a message that "we have many more and can release those too, so you better do all we ask you to".
It's devastating for national sovereignty and pride.
No INC leaders, spokespersons or supporters have endorsed or defended Sharjeel Imam or his "Chicken’s Neck" remarks.
Even the Shaheen Bagh protesters publicly distanced themselves from him on the day the video surfaced.
Dear @PadmajaJoshi
The nation needs your expert views on the purely professional optics of this picture..what do you think..which national welfare scheme was on their mind..await your prime time special on this..thank u
Having tracked US elections since 2000, only parallel i can right now see for 2026 mid-terms is 2008 Obama sweep... assuming these early vote trends continue for a week, i dont think anyone here can forecast the floor for GOP... we could see monstrous upsets.
@PoojaPriyam_ Absolutely. But how exactly is this a gender construct ? There are many men & women with a fairly limited world view. Btw I have a more fundamental question - why is what you are saying necessarily bad ? Men with limited world views will match well with women of the same mindset.
@ajay43 Only the sordid details of the 30 pieces of silver needed to be worked out. Presumably that is also set so she will duly announce that she has "seen the light" 😀
We were investigating Wedgewood for faking their data and emailed them for comment this morning, ahead of publishing the findings tomorrow. They are trying to cover up their fraud with the "we were doing a social experiment" excuse.
