A public policy conference to celebrate the idea of change. This year's theme: Empowering the Marginalized: Inclusive policy making for an Equitable India
A special thanks to our Keynote Speaker, Professor R Ramakumar, whose talk on the importance of reading numbers right in the economy and how we look at them are words which will surely ring in the ears of our future policymakers for decades to come.
As always, a pleasure for the Public Policy Department of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, to host Ms Smita Jacob as our panel moderator. Her insight and unique voice have been invaluable to our students and will continue to light our way forward in the future.
"If you want your voice to be heard, you have to fight for it, no one is going to offer you a space on their own". Words to live by and words which opened our eyes to the personal responsibility we hold to not only find our voice but to make it loud. Thank you @Maya_Awasthy!
It was a joy listening to @vanditamorarka and her unique ability to give voice to queer issues and concerns. How to look at policy with a queer eye is something the audience will cherish for a long time. Thank you!
Thank you to @deepapawar6 for her intense insight into the lives of nomadic tribe culture and society's unfair treatment of them. Her voice was truly one of a kind and fiery with passion. We hope to see more of her!
We wrap up Niti-Samvaad 2024 with an overflow of emotions, pride and satisfaction at the completion of a conclave which very rightly has been described as "one of the last spaces for free expression in an increasingly repressed world". Thank you to all who joined in!
