NIUK COMMUNIQUÉ

The Interim Leadership of the NIUK Community wishes to formally inform members that following the announcement by X, that its Community function will be discontinued by the end of this month, the NIUK Community has begun taking steps to ensure continuity, communication, and full engagement among members through alternative platforms.

After careful consideration, the following resolutions have been made:

1. NIUK will begin transitioning members to alternative communication platforms to ensure the community remains connected and functional. The first step will be the opening of the alternative chat group introduced by X as a replacement for the Community function.

2. A dedicated NIUK WhatsApp Channel has been created to provide members with timely updates, announcements, and important community information. Members are encouraged to join and stay connected. Please join this channel using this link: https://t.co/2nZbhJoqfA or send a message to NIUK Phone Number: 07928 890800 for extra support.

3. The official NIUK X account will remain active and operational. The platform will continue to be used for official announcements, information dissemination, and the organisation of community spaces and engagements.

4. The Interim Leadership welcomes constructive suggestions from members on how the community can continue to strengthen engagement and communication. We remain open to exploring additional platforms that are convenient and accessible for members.

5. The NIUK election process remains ongoing but has experienced a temporary delay as a result of the ongoing transition. Members are assured that the process will continue once normal operations are fully restored. We encourage all eligible members to continue registering both to vote and indicate interest to contest for positions.

The Interim Leadership appreciates the patience, understanding, and continued support of all members during this transition period. Further updates and directives will be communicated as developments unfold.
