@IanCutress From my understanding of patents - there was a grace period of all that information publically published for the public, company, or person to object/contest it before it’s issued. Either no one saw it or contested it so now it’s issued.

@KeithPlaysPC If they misspelled your name I think that ticket may be invalid. I got a ticket waived by court because they misspelled my name and didn’t have to pay the fine… maybe I got lucky by the local court.

@HardwareUnboxed It was already being abused - the "complete" HDMI 2.1 Certification and Validation tests were released around Sept 2020 (give or take a month). Some TVs/Monitors released before that date were having difficulties implementing full HDMI 2.1 support even with firmware updates.
