@pacha5star By your logic you must think Juan Soto sucks since the Mets have gotten worse and haven’t made playoffs the past 2 seasons since signing Soto. Because if you’re a great player your team should make the playoffs right?
@lit_phins Can’t say Tua was a bad pick cuz of a bad contract given yrs later. Those are 2 different franchise decisions. Tua may be one of the worst signings but worst pick was Jordan. Multiple picks + top 5 pick to obtain him & got zero in return. Tua contributed multiple quality seasons
@forwardwithsam Tasers suck. It’s mind boggling with all the tech we have we can’t produce a non-lethal weapon that works without fail. With that said - that woman killed a young mother and possibly a second person with those “puny knives”. Hard to feel bad for her.
@ckparrot So in your opinion the GB organization is in cahoots to help the Fins?! Lmao. Cmon man. GB thinks McCord sucks in the same way Fins think Ewers sucks. The chances are both suck considering both organizations know more than we do.
@F_Piombo89@SpiethGoath4rb@JohnSmithsph Blaming Pete for Sengas injury is insane. Oooh he made the pitcher jump for the ball. Give me a break dude. Thats just a talking point for Alonso haters. Lindor is literally the streakiest hitter in baseball year after year but you label Pete streaky?! Reach harder.
@notgaetti 4-Year Cumulative Metrics (2018–2021):
ERA: 1.94
WHIP: 0.88
K Rate: 34.1% of all batters faced
ERA+: 206 (106% better than league-avg pitcher)
2018 Season: 1.70 ERA - 217 innings, 269K 0.912 WHIP.
2021: He had more RBI’s than earned runs over his first 15 sterts. 1.08 ERA 🤯
@notgaetti Wins is the dumbest stat ever for pitchers. And sure - injuries made his career short. No1 would argue that his “career” was as good as a lot of the greats. The argument is that he was arguably the best EVER at his peak & that peak was multiple seasons long. Stats back that up.
@ian_schraier@theblockspot If “Championships and life-changing hits” are the criteria then Pete is better than Aaron Judge cuz he doesn’t have either of those and has in fact been subpar in every playoffs he’s played in.
@FinsPhanatics Possible but if Sullivan is in line with Packers history they don’t draft WR’s that high. They like finding WR talent in the middle rounds. They were good at finding elite WR talent without spending high picks on them.
@Conor_Green51@NjTank99 The biggest issue to me is - does he field his position? I saw him leap before the ball was even hit on a ground ball to SS. What if that was a comebacker? Is known to field his position or does that leap consistently take him out of plays he could/should make?
@Jacobtheclipper Pippen finished 3rd in MVP voting the year MJ retired. Even if Pippen wasn’t on Mike’s level - he was the 3rd best player in the league and led his team to 55 wins. Even if your point is correct it only shows how dogshit the talent was in the NBA at that time.
@Tqlax21@HooksAndHoops@barstoolsports There is no way you can call this blatant offsides. I can stare at this all day and not be able to tell whether he is behind #9 or not. To me this should never be offsides when you literally can’t tell even with a perfect angle.
@Cringepilled1@MrHoncho89@MambaArchives Lmao. They didn’t win Finals MVP’s. You can maybe argue Curry was better than KD but he wasn’t the best player in the Finals for 3 of his 4 championships. Period. And Kobe wasn’t the Finals MVP for any of his 3 rings with Shaq. Both disqualified by your own credentials.
@EquitybyNelson Soccer players are MUCH better all around athletes. The best in the world. They have elite speed and stamina as a requirement to play at the professional level. Football requires a different type of athlete. Extreme size & muscle mass is always a recipe for disaster.
@EvanandTikiWFAN DeGrom better player - Brunson better legacy. Mets and Nets fan here btw. Neither argument is close. DeGrom was the best player in the sport for multiple years. Brunson never was. But legacy wise - best player on championship team - Brunsons legacy in NYC is more substantial.
@EricNMoody Achane is a much better player but even as a Dolphins fan I’ll admit this isn’t a crazy take due to each team’s circumstances this season. Id probably go with Achane just because his ceiling is higher but is floor is definitely lower due to a potentially terrible offense.
@Mets2026@135798642abcde Fun fact - Pete had a higher batting avg than Lindor last season despite “striking out a million times”. Who cares. Still hit for a higher average and produced WAY more. Even strikeouts were almost the same 131 for Lindor - 160 for Pete.
