The State Department has asked some foreign service officials up for promotion who they voted for in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 presidential elections, raising concerns the agency is violating a federal law that bars politicized personnel decisions within the nonpartisan ranks.

.@realDonaldTrump@POTUS America this is not true! Iran has attacked and probably helped kill American soldiers with drones provided by Russia or Satellite intelligence…..
Acton's mother stayed with the man who sexually abused Acton when she was 12. Vivek is siding with the mom. Sociopathic doesn't do him justice. Evil shit.
It’s worth noting that Acton is estranged from her mother because she married a pedophile that molested her and then sided with that pedophile in court.
Calling Ramaswamy a scumbag doesn’t go far enough.

I’ve been watching people online be cruel to Elina when she is being incredibly open and vulnerable.
I know firsthand what war does to the human psyche. How constant violence and danger render you incapable of normal emotion, leaving you irritated, twitchy, and hollow. It turns your soul inside out and shatters you so deeply that you forget who you are, how to function, let alone how to love.
War offers no time to heal, no rest, and no breathing room. It breaks you often faster than you can piece yourself back together, and keeps taking pieces away, even when you have nothing left anymore.
So don't judge what you don't understand.

East Potomac was never supposed to be a "championship course". That was the whole point.
When it opened in 1921, golf in America was a rich man’s game, private clubs, high dues, closed doors. East Potomac was built to be the opposite: a muni course anyone could walk onto and play, designed by Walter Travis to challenge experts and welcome beginners on the same eighteen holes.
That wasn’t an accident. It was the mission.
A championship course built to chase the U.S. Open and the Ryder Cup isn’t a renovation of that mission. It’s a reversal of it. It takes a course built to open golf up to everyone and turns it into the exact kind of exclusive showcase East Potomac was created to stand against.
Congress didn’t dedicate this land “for the recreation and pleasure of the people” so it could eventually become a luxury product. The irony isn’t incidental. It’s the whole fight.

🚨 Pep Guardiola on Desire Doue after Manchester City’s Champions League defeat to PSG:
“I think people will watch the goal and the assist and say, ‘What a talented young player.’ Yes, of course. Everybody can see his talent.
But I want you to watch what happens before he receives the ball.
That is the difficult part.
There was a moment when we thought we had closed the space. Our defender was in a good position, the midfielder was coming across, and I thought, ‘Okay, now he has to play backwards.’
Then Doue slowed down.
Just a little.
And suddenly our defender had a decision to make. Go towards him? Stay where he is? Watch the player making the run behind?
This is what the best attacking players do. They make you think when you don’t have time to think.
At one point I was talking to my friend and said, ‘Look at him. He’s not even running.’
And he said, ‘Yes, but our players are.’
Exactly.
Sometimes the most dangerous player on the pitch is the one making everybody else move.
With Paris it’s even more complicated because when you concentrate on Doue, you have Dembele moving inside, Vitinha offering the pass, Hakimi arriving from deep. You cannot tell a defender, ‘Just stop this boy,’ because the moment you send two players to him, somebody else is free.
And I know what people will say. ‘City defended badly.’ Fine. Maybe the boys made mistakes. Enzo is the coach and he will take responsibility. I’m sure he will learn from it.
But you must also give credit to the team that forces those mistakes.
Enzo prepared for their movements. They watched the videos. They know Doue likes to come inside and that he can change direction very quickly.
Knowing it is one thing. Stopping it when the ball is moving and four players are exchanging positions is another.
That’s what Luis has built.
It’s not eleven players waiting for the most famous one to do something. The young players take responsibility. The experienced players trust them. And when somebody loses the ball, the others react immediately.
I watched Doue after one of his actions tonight. He had just caused City a big problem, and a few seconds later he was already working to help his team without the ball.
For a coach, this is very important. I can admire the dribble, but I want to know what the player does when the dribble is finished.
And the frightening thing for opponents is that he is still learning.
You can see it in his decisions. Sometimes he takes an extra touch. Sometimes he tries something difficult when the simple pass is there. That’s normal at his age.
But you don’t want to take away that personality. You want to help him understand when to use it.
I remember seeing Enzo tell one of our players during the match, ‘Don’t let him turn.’
A little later, Doue received the ball facing our goal, turned, and we were running back again.
I looked at Enzo and thought, ‘Well, that instruction lasted a few minutes.’
So yes, he has things to correct. Many things.
But if you’re asking me about Doue, I think Paris have a special player. And more importantly for them, they’ve built a team in which a special player can make everyone around him better.
That is why they are so difficult to play against.”
