@jwhittenbergK5 I don’t think that Dan has the balls to be the contrarian to Jerry. Until that happens we’ll consistently end up seeing Connor Joe, Mitch Garver and Rob Refsnyder in high leverage at bats late in games. At least we’ve move on from Rivas. More work to do with the roster.
Hey @Mariners an inning or two of Buhner is fine once a year, but three straight games is intolerable. Jay and Dave talk so much about the past, they’re missing today’s game. Please make the stories stop. Bring back @RyonHealy25
@NotTyFrance @MarinerMenace It’s like sitting next to the chatty and overly confident guy on the plane how only wants to talk about himself. I’m annoyed at every anecdote.
@RyonHealy25 you’re killing it in the booth. Great insight with a bit of humor. But…the hand is NOT part of the bat. On a non-swing, if the pitch hits the hand it is officially a HBP. Different story if determined to be a swing attempt.
@RyanDivish Ryan, have you ever come across data showing that the right-left match up metrics match a pinch hitter vs a starter? It feels like sticking with a guy who’s in a groove with lots of ABs outperforms a hitter off the bench who hasnt seen much live MLB pitching.
@DanClarkSports Players play. Umps ump. As a coach, I tell my athletes to let them do their job. THAT is what makes sports fair. What about check swings and bang-bang plays at first? Maybe they should add “ask the player” as part of a challenge system. Insanity.
@TridentTrue I think this is a bad read. Dave does not articulate the nuances of the game very well. That, or he’s cognitively playing checkers while Aaron plays chess. I prefer Hyphens insights and confidence. I really miss Blowers. Valle is not the answer.
@dcinvestor Multiple possible causes. The first thing I’d recommend is a trial of wearing a CGM (continuous glucose monitor). Good data leads to good decisions. If monitoring is normal, we can talk about an appropriate lab panel. I’d avoid changes to diet, supplements or training for now.
@JarrettMentink During an Ultimate Fan night 6 years ago, Angie let my 12 yo daughter “interview” her for a school assignment. Angie was incredibly kind and generous. That 12yo is applying for college and wants to go into sports broadcasting because of Angie’s example. I’ll always cheer her on.
@hyphen18@thetopsteptv@ROOTSPORTS_NW Which Ms prospects are the most likely to be called up and make an impact the second half of the season? Is it Montes? Maybe Ford? Locklear?
@SamiOnTap $22M for Tellez, Haniger and Leody. I agree that there is a money issue but Jerry has struck out when allocating the little resources he does have.
