This clown on RTE.
"It wasn't a great match to watch because PSG couldn't break them down."
No, it wasn't a great match because Arteta parked the bus for the entirety of the 120 minutes.
Edwards - a disaster
Hughes - a joke
Fsg haven't changed one bit since Rodgers sacking and Klopps arrival.
Klopp was the one guy who raised this club from the dead.
Why do you think most of the journos want slot to stay?
Liverpool didn't sign a single first-team player in the summer of 2019 after winning the Champions League.
In 2021 they signed one: Konaté.
In 2022 they signed one: Núñez.
In 2024 they signed one: Chiesa.
These quiet transfer windows always catch up with you eventually. That's why we ended up needing six first-team signings last summer and will probably need another six this summer.
You can't keep kicking recruitment problems down the road and expect the squad not to age, decline or run out of contract at the same time.
FSG are a fucking shambles of an outfit.
See the Red Sox to prove this.
And now Klopp isn’t here to bail them out the shit it’s back to pre Klopp and under FSG that was a fucking shambles too.
Things we’ll see before Christmas:
- Szob still playing RB
- Isak playing 30 minutes a month
- The football still being awful
- Arne Slot finally being sacked
- FSG costing Liverpool another season
The campaign by @DKingTelegraph to belittle Liverpool’s worldwide fanbase and try to claim we are all led by the nose of some betting firm is reprehensible .
Fans have watched rubbish for 15 months and will not be fooled by such articles or indeed Slot bringing in an assistant.
@TeleFootball The toxicity is exacerbated by journalists who are defending one of the worst coaches in world football. Anywhere else Slot would have been relieved of his duties so it's quite surprising that he is still at the helm at a club like Liverpool
Only the blind - willful or otherwise - or the ignorant have to wonder why the animosity towards Slot is so intense. Slot has come under attack in a way that none of his predecessors have because Slot has done things none of his predecessors have done:
-20 losses in one season
-53 league goals conceded (most in club history)
-77 goals conceded in all competitions (2nd most in club history)
-21 set piece goals conceded (most in PL this season)
-60 points in the PL (2nd lowest in club history, 24 pts fewer than last season)
-Just 10 clean sheets in the league
The football is 💩, the vast majority of the team has regressed, top players don’t want to play for him, he rarely talks accountability, and his takes are completely delusional. He honestly believes injuries were the reason for the drop off this season.
He has my thanks for the Premier League, but this season has been totally unacceptable and all the credit he once had has now been spent. He’s overstayed his welcome, should’ve been sacked in November after the stretch of games from the 9th thru the 26th, which included a 3-0 loss to City, and 3-0 and 4-1 defeats to Forest and PSV at Anfield.
@AnfieldEdition@DKingTelegraph You mean YOU are the ones putting out misinformation the fans are just talking about what they SEE on the pitch which is nowhere near good enough.
@AYPrivateEye I don’t think there’s a reality he can turn it around with so many against him, the minute the footballs slow or we lose a bad one it’ll get toxic in the ground. I’m dumbfounded he wants to stay and the directors don’t see what’s coming. Ten Haag, Rodger’s etc take 2
