@BootstrapCook The baked potato inclusion is really rubbish as well. It assumes the parents either have a microwave or otherwise can afford to have the oven on for an hour to cook one. That’s expensive especially if your in a payment meter.
Thank you Helen. I personally have been left behind by this scheme. I have worked all my life and paid taxes and gave proof I worked for my new Employer in March. #newstarterjustice#jobrejectionscheme
New starters and the self employed are still being failed by the Government, I call on @RishiSunak to sort it out so that they aren't unfairly penalised. Being entrepreneurial or changing jobs is not a crime. #newstarterfulough#SelfEmployedMatterToo
Those figures are staggering. I would love you to take a look at how many people changed jobs in March/April and are not eligible for furlough. #newstarterjustice#jobrejectionscheme
New ONS figures on self-employed https://t.co/xZgUuSvJm8 show that 150,000 became self-employed April to December 2019 implying at least 200,000 excluded from the Self-employment scheme. Also found 710,000 selfemployed are sole director of ltd company and thus excluded.
@Ianblackford_MP Thanks for raising this again @Ianblackford_MP 4 weeks on we are all struggling to manage financially and the worry is immense. #newstarterjustice#jobrejectionscheme
If it’s a Job Retention Scheme. Why are you asking those employed in March to go back to there old employers to be furloughed? It makes no sense as they are not the one’s who want to retain you. #jobrejectionscheme#newstarterjustice
'It just feels like a real kick in the teeth.'
Natalie started a new job in the middle of March meaning she isn't eligible for the job retention scheme ⬇️

@RishiSunak@hmtreasury 20 years loyal PAYE deductions paid. Taxed from both old and new employer in March and yet my family left to lose everything on a technicality. This cant be right. Make change now #newstarterjustice#jobretentionscheme
I changed jobs in March as my family was struggling financially. We are now in an even worse situation. Why is no one listening. #jobrejectionscheme#newstarterjustice
Exactly one month ago today I announced the unprecedented decision to step in and help pay people’s wages.
We promised support would be available by the end of April – today, we deliver our promise.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is now live:

Today the JRS launches but still @rishisunsk isn’t listening to the taxpayers he is leaving out. We have proof of our new jobs, we were paid in March. #jobrejectionscheme#newstarterjustice
Don’t think @RishiSunak gets it. Most ppl usually have a four week notice. He made his JRS announcement on the 20th March. Surely ppl who had accepted and offer and signed a contract should be covered? #newstarterfurlough
