Docs are trained in the savior complex. That’s the outdated, curative mindset that med schools have taught for 100 years.

It doesn’t fit anymore and doctors aren’t curing disease, they’re medicating it and managing symptoms.

The cognitive dissonance created when that mindset is challenged has always been nasty. After COVID, that mindset has been revealed as faulty for today’s physicians.

They haven’t adapted and Midjourney Medical is going to disrupt the hell out of imaging as a result.

Don’t forget, imaging is one of those services that hospitals make a killing charging facility fees for.

There are a lot of people who hate going to the doctor. A low-quality (at first - improvement will happen here like with everything else) scan will get some of those people to the doctor.

People HATE going to hospitals to get these things. Site of service is an important factor that the docs are ignoring.

I think this is an important point.

False positives from full body scans are a problem because we can't handle them very well. We could just get better at that, too.

Cheap repeatable scans would likely be step 1 in the process of improving false positive handling.
