Adedapo Adegbola, 40, has been sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court for the murder of 23-year-old Stephanie Irons.

He received a life sentence with a minimum of 25 years before parole and will likely face deportation after his sentence

The court revealed that Adegbola, driven by obsession after Irons ended their brief relationship due to his controlling behavior, purchased knives and attacked her at her home on October 21, 2025.

Judge Nirmal Shant KC highlighted Adegbola's "final act of humiliation" after the murder: sending sexually explicit messages to their work WhatsApp group.

Adegbola, is a Nigerian citizen and moved to the UK in 2022.
