Welcome home, Nevada Task Force 1. 🏡👏
After almost three weeks supporting search, rescue, and recovery efforts in flood-ravaged Kerr County, Texas, members of Nevada Task Force 1 have returned safely to the Las Vegas Valley.
The 47-person team included four K9s and responders from multiple local agencies. They were deployed by FEMA on July 8 to assist in the aftermath of the devastating #TexasFloods.
Through incredibly tough conditions, the team showed skill, resilience, and compassion. We are proud of the work they did and grateful for the warm support they received from central Texas and from everyone back home. ❤️
NV-TaskForce1 is continuing to work along the Guadalupe River conducting secondary searches. They have also deployed boat teams to areas that were previously unreachable.
We are proud of their dedication and efforts to support these Texas communities.
