@VickyBall3 Thanks Vicky, looks like you had an amazing time. I was lucky enough to have a few days in Budapest myself in April, it’s a lovely city isn’t it?
@LucyChalice Ah, the perpetual challenge of not wanting to put too much pressure on ourselves and then being disappointed with times etc. scenery was wonderful I’m sure and well done for completing.
@romanhelmetguy It’s true that Vercingetorix imposed a central command structure/military discipline on the previously disparate tribes and Caesar notes the Gauls capacity to adopt some tactics. But his overall approach, guerrilla warfare/scorched earth was the exact opposite of Roman doctrine?
@MatthewHarffy Might be able to help with that one, my daughter lives in Amsterdam and I asked the same question. The material of the block is supposed to reflect his profession as a lens grinder and the shape apparently represents the “geometric structure/ principles that guided his work 🤷♂️
@PeterStefanovi2 It’s also incredibly shortsighted. One of the biggest issues facing the NHS is patient flow which often stalls because of a lack of social care beds/places, resulting in cancelled ops, pressure on waiting lists etc.
@ClucianaLuciana I made the decision to work for myself about 6 years ago. Big change & quite scary as you say but it was v.rewarding & secured some much needed work/life balance. Have decided to take the next step and retire to focus on my writing. All change again 😊good luck on your journey

@NJSimmondsbooks That’s lovely. My daughters ( older than yours) both love reading and though not a genre they would typically read they have read and commented on chapters as they are written. Even if some of the comment were eeugh about battlefield scenes or adult dialogue 🤣
@LucyChalice Thought the hat was giving off snail vibes 🤣albeit Infinitely happier than the one depicted below which I’ve just noticed is a little melancholy for the last day of work 🙌and I’m sure very much slower than when you are running for flapjack 😊
