This Youth Day, we recognise that young people face different realities, but share many of the same ambitions: to learn, build skills, find opportunities & have a say. This is central to our Youth Leadership Programme, which equips youth with skills to change their communities.

🤱 This year's theme for #WorldBreastfeedingWeek, "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works," reflects the work of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, which supports mothers, families and children during the critical first 1,000 days of life.

Today @FordSouthAfrica joined the Make Mandela Bear Magic experience in Gqeberha, making bears that will bring comfort & smiles to children receiving treatment at the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital (@_NMCH_). Every bear is a reminder to a child that they are not alone.

Today, the UN in South Africa, alongside the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Nelson Mandela Foundation and Graça Machel Trust, launched Thando and Freddy’s Big SDG Adventure, a children’s book inspiring young changemakers through the SDG Goals and Madiba's values.
