@ProfMJCleveland What Buttgieg misses is that the only relevant poll on the merit of the electoral college is what 3/4 of the states decide, per the constitution. 38 states would have to agree that 4 or 5 high population states should then control the nation through national popular vote.

@libsoftiktok If we can drive an ATV on Mars we sure as heck can count votes within 24 hours. California often takes a month, Pennsylvania always has a scandal of incompetence. Counting votes beyond election day is corrosive to public trust. Counting isn't exactly higher math.
