A new book about the life of Port Arthur native Janis Joplin has been released and this Saturday at 2pm the book’s author along with Joplib’s brother will be in town for a book signing at the Museum of the Gulf Coast! Free admission!!!

It’s National Shortbread Day and we are celebrating by making Shortbread cookies with Chef Delilah!!! It’s also a perfect day to invite a friend over for tea and shortbread cookies!!!!

This morning we are previewing the Casa Santa Fun Run this Saturday at the Jack Brooks Regional Airport. The non profit is also gearing up for their annual toy drive.

We are live this morning at the Blue Santa Headquarters in Orange. Deputy John Badeaux and his elves are busy stocking the shelves with clothes, shoes and toys for kids in need. The Sheriff’s Department hopes to provide these clothes and toys to more than 300 kids!

Rao’s does it again!!!! They’ve created a pumpkin pie, pecan pie and cake all in one with apple topping!!!! Plus all their regular Thanksgiving goodies!!!

We are live at Rao’s on Calder getting ready for tonight’s big game! Charles Giglio bought the Astros Jersey cake and is heading to Houston’s Minute Maid Park later today to watch the Astros bring home the World Series title!!!! Go Astros!!!!

It’s day 7 of the Jazzie and Jimmy Food Drive benefiting the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Jimmy has been living in the Walmart parking lot in Beaumont since Friday. Check out his little living container. Come on out and make a donation!!!

We are live this morning at Walmart in Beaumont. Jazzie and Jimmy’s food drive kicked off Friday and goes to next Monday. They are trying to raise more than 10,000 pounds of food. Jimmy will continue living in front of the store until they reach the goal. # @JJORADIO
