#Mark found fame as the lead Rapper of #GOT7, one of the most successful K-Pop Groups of the Era! Mark is known for his effortlessly cool, magnetic voice, with a laid-back flow that makes every line feel intimate! He's also a real musician, and plays the guitar, violin and piano! Mark is GOT7’s eldest member and helped the group become the first K-pop act to sell out Brooklyn’s 19,000-seat Barclays Center, contributing lyrics to 20 of their songs and co-composing 8. While he has contributed greatly to the success of GOT7, he's also a hugely successful Solo Artist in his own right! After leaving JYP, he launched an independent solo career through his own DNA Records, scoring iTunes No. 1s in over 25 countries with tracks like “Last Breath,” amassing hundreds of millions of streams across albums and EPs, including 'The Other Side' and 'Silhouette', and signing with the top Hollywood agency, CAA! Beyond music he built a major fashion profile with numerous magazine covers, representing clothing lines with profits going to charity while also supporting causes from Stop AAPI Hate to disaster relief.

Mark is from Taiwan, and was born in Los Angeles where he grew up. He took violin and piano lessons in elementary school, and guitar lessons in junior high school. In 2010, he was discovered at school by a JYP Entertainment scout, and invited to auditions. He soon passed the audition, left school and moved to S. Korea in August 2010, where he learned acrobatics for one year, and martial arts for two years, then trained to sing, rap, dance and perform, inspired by the idol life. In 2012, he made a cameo in the first episode of 'Dream High 2' as a backup dancer with JB & Jinyoung! In 2013, he appeared in Mnet's reality-survival program 'WIN: Who is Next' with Jackson Wang, BamBam and Yugyeom. On January 16, 2014, Mark officially debuted as a part of GOT7 with the EP 'Got It' & wrote the lyrics to "Back To Me" from GOT7's 2015 EP 'Just Right'. He also wrote 5 out of 13 songs from their 2016 album 'Flight Log: Turbulence'.

Mark released his first Korean solo song "OMW" ft. Jackson Wang with an accompanying MV on September 13, 2018 and soon became a star in China, winning the Hot Star Award at the Weibo Starlight Awards in Hong Kong! In 2019, he toured China for his first set of fan meetings, titled "On Your Mark" selling out venues in minutes and signing his first photobook, 'Mark Yixia'. On the day of the last fan meetings, he released his first Chinese single, "Outta My Head". His 2nd single, "Never Told You" was released as a charity single on White Day! From June 15 until August 28, 2020, Mark appeared on 8 episodes of Huya Super Idol League Season 10 as "Gamer Mark".

In January 2021, Mark ended his contract with JYP Entertainment and opened his own company and label, DNA Records, releasing the single "One in a Million", a collab with Sanjoy Deb. Mark executive produced the MV for GOT7's amazing comeback song "Encore", released on February 20, 2021 which topped the Worldwide iTunes song chart! He then signed with Creative Artists Agency and released "Never Gonna Come Down" with Bibi for the movie 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings', and on November 12, 2021, he released his amazing digital single "Last Breath", followed by the hits "My Life", "Lonely" & "Save Me" in 2022. On July 1, 2022, Mark released "IMYSM" from his 1st studio album 'The Other Side', released on August 26, 2022 together with the music video of the title track "Far Away"! Mark wrote and composed all 20 songs on the album which highlighted his amazing voice and Rap. In October and November 2022, Mark embarked on his first solo tour, performing in 15 cities across North America followed by an Asian leg which kicked off in Bangkok and Khon Kaen in April 2023. On March 31, 2023, he released "Carry Me Out", "Everyone Else Fades" and "Your World" which featured on Mark's digital EP 'Fallin', released on October 27 2023! In June 2025, Mark released his new single "High As You", showcasing a more mature sound. Two months later, he signed a partnership with Thai entertainment agency BNJ for his activities in Thailand! On August 15, 2025, Mark dropped “hold still” which hit No. 1 on iTunes in 14 countries, debuted at No. 31 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart as the third-highest new entry, and marked his career-best No. 16 on the US iTunes Top K-Pop Songs chart! His 5-track EP 'Silhouette' dropped on November 7, 2025, and peaked at No. 19 on Korea’s Circle Weekly Album Chart, debuting at No. 12 on worldwide iTunes after topping iTunes in 10+ countries, with the title track “Sunsets and Cigarettes” reaching No. 38 on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart! He then released the short “On The Radar” freestyle on February 4, 2026 and 'Alone' on July 31, 2026, which went No. 1 on iTunes in Thailand, Argentina, Kazakhstan, and Peru, and debuted at No. 62 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart!

Mark has won several awards including the Hot Star Award at the Weibo Starlight Awards in 2019, a Seoul Music Award for Global Producer in 2024, a Bazaar Gala Award for Overseas Attention-Grabbing Artist in 2025 and 2 Weibo Music Awards in the same year for Recommended Person of the Year (Overseas Singer) and Weibo Performance Artist of the Year!

Mark has attracted several endorsements during his career, and was named brand ambassador for 'Vivo' in Thailand with BamBam and brand ambassador for 'Davines China' and 'Mentholatum' in 2020 after endorsing Mentholatum's Lip Tiara in December 2019, which had to be restocked multiple times due to the high demand! In August 2020, he became the brand ambassador for China telecommunications 'Unicom'! On June 2, 2021, he became the ambassador for Sisley's 'Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream', and on June 16, he became the 1st Artist to collaborate with 'Anessa' for a limited edition, Artist Box.

Mark has established himself as a fashion icon, starring on numerous covers for Vogue Korea, GQ Thailand, Harper’s Bazaar, Dazed, Esquire, L’Officiel, and others. He serves as an ambassador for Saint Laurent, regularly appearing in the front row of their shows, and causing a media stir at Paris Fashion Week, also collaborating with Calvin Klein. He began his career as a model on Dazed Korea in May 2017, and appeared on over 21 magazines covers for Calvin Klein, Yves St Laurent and several other top designers. He also designed two limited edition apparel collections with Represent in 2018 and 2019 titled XCIII, and a 3rd named XC3 in 2021. The 2nd collection, XCIII Evolution, sold more than 35,000 items with all the profits donated to 'Save the Children'.

Mark is also an active philanthropist, and in March 2019, he starred on the cover of the 200th issue of the Korean charity magazine 'The Big Issue', providing support for the homeless. He also donated proceeds from his clothing line collabs with Represent and his 2nd single, "Never Told You" which was released in collaboration with the China Children's Charity Relief Foundation. In February 2020, he funded ventilators for the COVID-19 pandemic in Hubei, China & donated $7,000 to the George Floyd Memorial Fund and the Black Lives Matter movement in the US. In November 2020, he donated $1,500 to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses, and in April 2021, he donated $30,000 to Stop AAPI Hate. In September 2024, he partnered with Siam Center, auctioning exclusive unseen photos to raise money to help flood victims in Thailand. In December 2025 he donated 1 million baht to Thailand’s Mirror Foundation for nationwide flood relief. He's also donated via birthday fan projects he joins that raise money for children’s heart surgery and other local causes!

Mark remains one of GOT7’s most visible members, and the sweetest soul. He's not only hugely talented, but also a constant source of inspiration and warmth for his die hard global fan base, Ahgase, that is especially fierce in Thailand, China, and the U.S.! What makes Mark special is that he's a low-key, sleep-first guy who built a real career on his own terms. He’s one of those rare rappers who quietly learned to sing, write, produce, and walk Paris Fashion Week without turning into a different person.
