The hallmark of expertise is no longer how much you know. It's how well you synthesize.
Information scarcity rewarded knowledge acquisition. Information abundance requires pattern recognition.
It's not enough to collect facts. The future belongs to those who connect dots.
Things to consider incorporating/emphasizing even in #pharmEd! My teaching focus is always “how to think” and rarely “what to think.” Teaching “what” treats 1 pt.. teaching how/why treats many! @accpedtrprn@AACPharmacy#pharmICU@ACPEpharmacy
Prior to AMEE 2024 in Basel, there will be a 2-day competency-based education summit, same location, August 22-23. Abstract submisssion call is still open. Check out https://t.co/2ZPYftX0Q3
How to give feedback without being a jerk:
1. Be a coach, not a critic. Aim to help, not attack.
2. Don't assert opinion as fact. You're sharing your subjective reaction, not the objective truth.
3. Be honest, not brutal. Be direct in what you say, but kind in how you say it.
