@Kenyans Again why do we need a refinery? We have an existing one, just sell & upgrade....how much tax from the current fuel prices will it remove? price of producing petrochemicals vs importing (again Taxes?), price of environment damage vs importing? 'Pesa ya macho' ni ngapi hapa?
Prof. David Sperling on the history of accounting in Kenya.
Accounting began in the 1960s.
At independence, Kenya had only about five trained accountants. โIt was a forgotten profession. The British had trained doctors and engineers.โ
On 18th May 1965, the late Kenneth Matiba, Permanent Secretary for Commerce then gave Strathmore College permission to begin accountancy studies, โprovided they did not cost the government of Kenya any funding.โ
