CANADA APPROVES FIRST CAD BACKED STABLECOIN

Tetra Trust has launched CADD, a Canadian dollar stablecoin approved by Alberta regulators.

The token is backed one to one by Canadian dollars under a regulated framework. It is now live on Base, Ethereum, and Tempo networks.

The stablecoin has support from Shopify and National Bank signaling strong institutional backing. The launch introduces blockchain rails for Canadian dollar payments.
