@EMT_Ashlie As someone who doesn't really care for basketball much, I get it. He's been being fouled in a way that's reminiscent of prime Shaq, and little is being called. He got frustrated, like most would.
@EMT_Ashlie Shaq was 27 when he signed with the Bucs.
If Mesidor hits a prime Shaq peak by year 3, I don't think anyone complains.
He doesn't need to be threatening the sack record. He just needs to be a consistent threat to the QB, averaging 8-12 and he'd a hero.
@realmrrip@JoeBucsFan The only real development I've seen on defense has been secondary players i.e. Tykee, Izien, Zyon.
His draft/development history with the front 7 is pathetic going back to NY.
@realmrrip@JoeBucsFan Hypothetical lol
JTS was somewhat of a 1-year wonder in college I believe. They were largely going off athleticism and what they thought he could become. And he was the last pick in the 1st round after not playing the shortened COVID season.
@gregauman The problem with this approach is that it depends on Bowles and his staff actually developing talent, which they haven't done in the front 7 at all.
@EMT_Ashlie Glazers forced Bowles despite the standard of mediocrity that he's represented and despite the "defensive guru" fielding a horrid defense year after year.
Meanwhile ยฝ of his OCs look to be building teams more complete and competitive than he has.
@EMT_Ashlie Logically, what should Mike have done? W Bowles back, if the offense is good the OC is likely in HC discussions again & and if the offense doesn't improve and the defense continues to suck, there's likely a new HC and OC again in a year.
S*** happens when owners get too involved
