like 4 years ago i was playing vs zain on dreamland, i called out his dash back out of laser with approaching laser like 3-4 times, until he's at the ledge with no more space to dashback. i think to myself, "finally, i outplayed the cheeser... ITS MY TURN!" i chase him all the way into the corner & this guy JUMPS off stage as another form of dashing back. admittedly hypnotized by the way he moved... i follow him off stage thinking i'm a genius about to put an end to his trickery & dj dair him FTW & this guy jumps backwards over my head & tipper dairs me. imagine this goat doing a backflip over the leopard's approach & pulling out a sword & dairing his ass... now that's game sense #TrueStory #ActuallyHappened #Notalie
@Amalgam8ion Also, the whole arc is like a cacophony on the loss of life, especially those we love. How we can appreciate them while we are still here, and how we handle losing them.
@Amalgam8ion Gon has been delightful through the show but shades of his malice were teased and finally shown. Killua is a born and raised killer who suppresses his feelings but his first true friend made him softer and to see him ripped away hurt more than any physical trauma hes faced
@Amalgam8ion Think clairen is kind of forced to guess in certain spaces/after certain interactions like a projectile connecting. Like she has these blind spots either bc her hitboxes wont cover in time or just between two moves, but then she can also like bait people into that gap too
@Amalgam8ion i get what youre seein but i feel like more lag would make it less interactive bc the first one to swing gets countered by dashback or people would fadeback their aerials more to cover for the extra lag
I think Rivals 2 is my favorite game ever. It’s the first indie platform fighter that truly feels like it’s missing nothing, at least in terms of polish on the gameplay. I’ve played a ton of games made in the same vein (and loved them) but this is perfection of the form imo.
