I completely agree with you on the fact that no one should be judging a phone before they get a chance to experience it. I have no bias either way, bc I carry both android and apple. I've bought pretty much every major android device available in the States this year (S25 Ultra, OnePlus 13, Z Fold7, Pixel 10 pro, etc.) and I keep finding myself going back to the Edge. I bought both the Pro and the Air this year, and I'm honestly rooting for the Air to do well.
