So, I haven't exactly posted much in around a year now. In that time, I have been focusing on work, and some other things, which made me lose motivation on this project. Coming back after a year, I'm happy to say that I've gained that back, and that I am working on new content.

Orthosia incerta, the Clouded Drab!

Despite their common name, I think these can be quite interestingly marked moths!

Greenfinches now on RSPBs “red list” awful decline (over 60% in 15years) due to disease, trichomonosis caught on DIRTY FEEDERS. “The largest scale mortality of British birds due to infectious disease on record” say BTO. Cleaning feeders is critical. @FinchesFriend makes it easy.

The Large Yellow Underwing (Noctua pronuba)! Quite a variable species, although all forms keep the black spots on the lower forewings.

Not exactly in the best condition, but regardless this Clifden Nonpareil was a surprise! Unfortunately I couldnt get a better photo as it flew off shortly after i took this. Looked like a small bird flying away though!

@Brucebfg Not a moth, but a Common Blue butterfly. This one is female, as it has brown wings. The male has blue wings. 😁

@AlwaysDivineLiz @CantleySteve Driving a car that close to the water will scare off birds, especially those who are more secretive and wary. If you're going to photograph in your car, at the very least try to park behind foliage.

A male and female Shuttle-shaped Dart (Agrotis puta). The species is a sexually dimorphic one, which means that the sexes look different in appearance.
