Ambivert, Asperger's and ever so slightly obsessed with video games π
I feel the need to constantly share my opinions, but if you disagree....
fair enough π
@WhiteHouse You lot really love to spit in the face of Democracy. Sure, some Democrats are dumb, but your country has only got 2 Political Parties. You can't insult a huge portion of the population and still expect to have their respect
@staines_li50687@Jassmini2 ...I guarantee you've met women you don't like or hate.
Not every demographic is a monolith. People within a demographic fight. That's how you have eg. white people in the political left and political right fighting each other.
@staines_li50687@Jassmini2 Except cloning is not efficient as there's a 90% chance of a miscarriage, increased health defects like premature aging.
Instead of this sexist rhetoric, just treat people as individuals. Like just because you're a woman, doesn't mean you get along with every woman ever...
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz And I do know what I'm talking about because I spend time thinking and learning about this stuff. It's not my fault you seem to be unwilling to understand my opinion just because I don't agree 100% with you
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz Centrists aren't a monolith. Think of it like sweets. The Left and Right are specific set brands. You know what to expect, while Centrists are more like a Pick-N-Mix. Sometimes they'll have more of one brand of sweets than the other, orit's an even split
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz And I am doing stuff. I'm sharing my opinions, having discussions with people to better understand topics so I can form better informed opinions. I also have a life away from the internet.
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz You're saying that as if I'm putting on a facade. Just because I'm against Trump based on his actions doesn't mean I'm gonna wish politically-right people harm because that would make me a bad person.
Not everyone is left or right. Some of us understand nuance
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz Because attacking people doesn't change anything. It just makes them more stubborn and less receptive of your opinions. You meet them half way, hear them out and then take that information and amend your opinion if what they say makes sense.
And that's how I became a Centrist
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz And seeing some people out there making fun of his death was sickening. Like disagree with him all you like, you never make light of political violence. It's sick and spits in the face of free speech and democracy
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz I don't. I support individuals, I support doing the right thing. Like for example Charlie Kirk's murder. It was horrible and should never have happened. Sure some of his ideas were controversial but he was just some guy sharing his opinions. He didn't deserve to die.
@elonmusk And just to be clear, I'm not saying all White People need to be held accountable for what some assholes did years ago. My point is comparing historic crimes doesn't help us learn or move forward. It's an excuse to not have to acknowledge or learn from the past
@elonmusk Doesn't negate the harm White People have historically done either. It's like comparing someone who kills 1 person to someone who kills 15 people. Doesn't matter that the first guy only killed 1 person, they still did a crime. It doesn't make it any better
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz I've always lived by the idea to "treat others as you'd want to be treated". I've held that not just for the people I like but for those I don't, so while I criticise people a lot, if they do something good, I will praise them for it.
We're not stagnant creatures. We can change.
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz And yes, I do agree that people throw the term Nazi around way too much. It dilutes the meaning of the word and lessens the severity of the Nazi's actions.
@JypsRidic@Provokethoughtz They were murdered, and I'm sorry your people were victims to those monsters. I'm assuming you're Jewish?
Either way, even if I may disagree with you on some things, I won't call you a Nazi unless you directly follow the ideology.
