@CorribEconomics@dougfender@SarahAMcInerney @Astraea1974 @drivetimerte A seriously ill 74 year old relative was left sitting in a chair for 24 hours in A&E in CUH, then promoted to a trolley. A friend in Paris went to A&E with an injury on New Years day, waited 5 min for treatment and was home in less than an hour!
@CorribEconomics@SarahAMcInerney @Astraea1974 @drivetimerte This number does not reflect the reality of "public health" my tweet specifically refers to. "Statistics skew nurse numbers and mask real shortage in hospitals".

@SarahAMcInerney @Astraea1974 @drivetimerte Not convinced: "to quote Ronald Reagan...", "new commercial entity...". Looks like an attempt to privatise public health yet further while avoiding the core issues of hospital closure and bed, ie nursing staff, reduction.
European leaders admit that the Minsk accords — which would have ended Ukraine’s post-2014 civil war — were not intended to make peace, but as a stalling tactic to prepare for war with Russia. Also, recalling when CNN reported honestly about Ukraine:

Having foreign nuclear weapons stationed on our soil is a bleak prospect Ireland would quite possibly face if we were to join the nuclear-armed NATO alliance.
Full solidarity with CND UK in resisting NATO nuclear weapons being stationed in the UK.

@paulmurphy_TD We have to be careful to verify such accounts independently before accepting them. Ombudsperson for human rights, Lyudmyla Denisova, was fired for, among other things, deseminating unverifyed rape reports.
Like all countries, #Iran has many challenges - Foreign Interference designed to bring about Regime Change will do nothing for the people of Iran. Let them sort their own problems...
We were outside Union Station tonight, where President Biden was giving a speech about democracy. Our message re Ukraine was “negotiate, don’t escalate.” #peaceinUkraine@codepink
@wallacemick Sad to say, artists in Ireland do not criticise the government. I am really dissappointed at the level of virtue signaling that goes on with most of my fellow artists in relation to the Ukraine war. Very few speak up for peace.
"Almost 1/2 [of Ukrainians surveyed] agreed it was imperative to seek a ceasefire to stop Russians killing Ukraine’s young men. Slightly more supported negotiations with Russia on a complete ceasefire, with 1/4 totally against & 1/5... neutral."

A late entry for Hypocrite of the Year from @SecBlinken, vowing to "continue" protecting the rights of the free press, while the @JoeBiden administration in fact continues Trump's menacing prosecution of Julian #Assange, a clear attack on the freedom of the press internationally.
