Howdy #PortfolioDay !
I'm Mya, a 2D animator and illustrator (with stop-motion experience). Currently finishing up my last year of school and will then be looking for industry experience afterwards!

@speedoru I would be overjoyed to be able to help with Punch Punch!! The animation students would binge the series when I was still in school, lots of good memories from that :)
Here's my most recent reel!
I want to post more often here but I'm worried about all the Al stuff on this platform... I know that videos can't be edited (yet) but not quite sure how to post illustrations without risking my work being fed into the machine :/
Any workarounds that I don't know about?
Hi #IndieAnimationDay !
We're still in early days of production on Nevermoore, so I don't have any fancy trailers to show or completed shots. Instead, have a little teaser of what's coming from the animatic!
(Background music is placeholder, from Bee and Puppycat!)
@filer0040 I know people here are probably all just saying "keep drawing!! Practice!!" but genuinely the best advice I've ever gotten is this (screenshotted because I hate the word count limit)
I bought a bunch of cute postcards back when I was still in school to mail to my partner but I never ended up using them and now we live close to each other. Should I still start sending them cards for no reason or should I keep saving these
Right now there’s a lot of talented venezuelan artist’s that provide food and medicine to their families thanks to the commissions so I will post this again, I hope that all of you can give RT, follow and support them.

@StudioPsycho Hey! I'd be potentially interested in applying to your 2D animator position. My only issue is that I don't have access to ToonBoom Harmony. Is using alternative programs okay or is that a strict requirement?
(For context, I use TVPaint, which is another industry standard program)
@R8RWukong ngl I cheat it by using a lot of copy/paste and lasso transform during the roughs phase, just to get the basic shapes to say as consistent as possible, and then I just make it look better in my tie-downs
being from the east coast and living on the west coast for 4 years means people make fun of you about wawa so it's nice that I can point at a piece of mainstream media and go SEEEEEEEEEE???? ITS REAL ITS REAL I TOLD YOU ITS REAL
