@F3irin @ApexLiveComms most of the players are there because there are seasons where the ranks are just inflated as fuck. And frankly if this many players are in Diamond, then theres a serious problem with the ranking system not being an accurate measurement of a player's true placement atm.

Land acknowledgments are presented as mandatory to many persons in public sector jobs, including health authorities like @VCHhealthcare where org policy says you MUST perform one if you meet with 3 or more people.

No one should be forced to utter these divisive and highly-politicized statements as a condition of their employment. And yet that’s exactly the situation 1000s of BCers find themselves in.

Any silly person who still wants to do a land acknowledgment will be allowed to do so. But the majority of us who are opposed would not be forced to.

The cost of extracting and refining heavy crude is dogshit compared to light crude. Thats literally why you see US companies hesitate on venezuella's oil.

@ParrotCapital Also Norway doesnt have heavy crude; which is a shittier grade of oil that's generally sold at a lower price per barrel than the light crude, which is worth more and has a higher ROI in extracting as well.

Also the majority (~70%) of oil profits goes to private firms in Canada vs Norway where the majority of profits goes to the government budget; which means they can actually reinvest that money for more real economic growth
