This Robin Williams thread will brighten up your day 🧵
1. His improvised scene in Good Will Hunting made the cameraman laugh so hard the camera started shaking. Matt Damon's reaction is authentic.

What about the Nations service to our 18yr olds? What they’ve been through.
A Gen that lost the best years of their lives.
They can’t afford to rent.
Can’t afford food. Punitive tuition fees. Probably won’t earn more than their parents… #bbcqt
I hope this message finds you well.
I'm not sharing this for sympathy, as I’m in relatively good spirits, thankfully. And my brother would NEVER post something like this, because he is a lot cooler than me.
Today, March 13th, 2024, marked a unique moment for my family: both my brother (41) and I (43) had chemotherapy sessions at two different hospitals on the same day. It's a peculiar coincidence. We are the only two people in our rather large extended family with cancer. While this may seem unlucky, it’s not the focus of my message. I’m here to highlight two points:
1. We are both receiving AMAZING care, and are so grateful to all health professionals in our country and everywhere. These people are the heroes and saviours of the world, day in, day out. Health professionals, you are so, so awesome and I don’t think you can imagine how much we appreciate you.
2. Our world and living in it is busier and more complex than it ever has been. The hustle and bustle of modern life will not go away. As our ability to communicate, travel and work faster than ever before increases, I believe “things” are likely to become more and more complex each day. Today will probably be the least complex this big old organised mess will ever be, probably for the rest of time; or at least until something unimaginable (to me) and significant happens.
In the midst of this, it's important not to neglect our health. Your wellbeing is invaluable, not just to you, but to everyone who loves and relies on you. You are irreplaceable. And probably bloody amazing.
It would not be helpful for us all to become hypochondriacs, so please don’t do that. However, if you notice symptoms that are persistent and unusual for you – be it recurring headaches, abdominal pain, an odd-looking mole, blood in your poo, or any new, unfamiliar sensations – please, make an appointment with your GP. I learned this the hard way. In many instances, serious illnesses are preventable or more effectively treated when caught early.
Your health is worth the time, and paying a bit more attention to your body could save your life 🌻
@SirWhiteRussian @ianmiles Clean - in summer
Drug addicts - well hidden. Serious issues
Obesity - less than the west
Migrants - lots of migrants in Russia, and serious racism issues
Well dressed - yes - it’s the norm
Friendly - in the past. Now, I feel unsafe there. I left in Summer this yr
Family - yes!!!
@ianmiles This is summer - The cities are pleasant in summer…winter a different story. It also looks like a weekend, as most people are not wearing work clothes. Having lived there, this is not representative of the normal day to day
Today, RTB's management had a meeting with a team from Planet One Group to advance the project: "Establishment of 19 Centers of Excellence for TVET in Rwanda."
This is aligned with the Government of Rwanda's mission to establish a TVET Centre of Excellence in each district.
@StarCitizenDan@DailyLoud This is ridiculous. Tipping just reinforces this kind of practice of not paying people a proper wage. Just raise the prices accordingly and ban tipping
Man refusing to tip says servers shouldn’t “get 25%” for doing their job.
"It used to be you give a tip if someone gave exceptional service," he continues. "When was the last time you got exceptional service anywhere? It's just expected."
“You don't get 25 percent because you did your job." - Dustin Anderson
@calbanks_euhoun @Thgsnharmy@Quinceyjakarii@DailyLoud So you have to understand every industry you consume from? Ridiculous argument. Change will only happen when the consumers stop being sheep and stop paying tips.
Bim Afolami says Junior Doctors asking for salaries to go from £15 an hour to £20 an hour is "unreasonable"
Bim Afolami then blames the doctors strike for the NHS waiting list #BBCQT
One friend's cleaner charges £25 an hour, another friend's personal trainer charges £60 an hour - the Conservative government wants you to be angry at Junior Doctors wanting £20 an hour
@IanDunt It’s an insane level. And the fact it will be applied to renewals is beyond disgraceful. I weep for the repugnant racism mess my homeland has become
