@RealSimpleAriel@mirsblog Do you have an estimation of your win rate per trade idea ? Like we know for a mean-reversion trade it takes 3-4 stops before to get it right
Merci Paraguay, avec votre anti-football, en plus d'avoir la honte sur votre équipe, vous n'avez même pas fait flancher nos joueurs et les avaient préparé pour la suite de la compétion #FRAPAR#shameonyouparaguay
@PradeepBonde Is that a test on self-efficacy belief or do you really think part-time trading does not worth it ? By having a full-time job it is clear we can't trade actively but we can find solutions
@PradeepBonde In the last Market Wizards book, many advocate for betting big on conviction trade "to squeeze the lemon", arguing it is how big money is made. But they don't talk much about their small gains that give them purchase power for the next big bets
@PradeepBonde Pradeep, does the breakout day is Day 1 or Day 0 ? For example I bought MSTR three days ago on b/o. It gap up today and to me it's Day 3. I planned to sell it on Day 3 for a bounce (hitting singles), not much. Am I doing right ?
@TheOneLanceB Than you Lance. You're making really good content. In this world of massive information and in much case low quality content, you bring high quality standard and you tell the truth
@BornInvestor Your large position list reminds me a quote from Qullammagie : "when I got 15 to 20 names in my portfolio, it is generally a bearish sign" something like that
At some point I was up +96% YTD, but I ended April up +75%, despite this beautiful bull market. Why ?
Timing & position sizing (mainly fomo). That something I learn from @nextbigtrade. You don't need to be in every time and to bet big on each trade. Even in a bull market.
@lonextrades Mainly because of the noise. I'm interested by your opinion on that topic @lonextrades. Some much great content but much more noise also than probably beginning of qullammagie
@lonextrades Interesting. I had never heard that from him before. How much is enough to quit regular job and to go full time trading ? 1 M$ should be quite enough for a living
Qullamaggie on The Importance of a Good Market
"This is what I'm talking about. You know, you wait for these periods when the ten days start sloping up—the ten and twenty days start sloping up—and the ten gets above the twenty. Like you know, that's when the money is made, and the rest of the time you just wait; wait, wait, or do very little.
You get a few of those periods per year, and you’re probably gonna outperform most of these day traders percentage-wise. You know, it's a much more scalable way of trading; you can scale your accounts much faster."
I've had a lot of new newsletter subscribers over the past 3 months, now is a good time to read "Sitting Out Bad Markets" if you haven't already done so.
Keeping the money you made in the previous rally is the most difficult part of trading when the market turns more hostile.
@TheShortBear I really appreciate your transparency. I also took a big hit, big position... My 2 cents is precious metals are controlled by states and they want to pressure the US $ by buying metals & selling US treasury. Point is it is very different from "crazy" stocks. Very political.
If you get to the end of your trading year and you
1. Cut losses where you should have
2. Didn't overtrade
Then all you need for success is a system with an edge to take advantage of the good periods. The best system I've found for that is Stage Analysis.
You can sabotage a good system though without following 1) and 2)
